We Built an Order Visibility Portal for a Statesville Components Manufacturer
A precision components manufacturer outside Statesville was fielding 30 to 40 order status calls per day. Their ERP had the data; their customers just had no way to see it. Customer service staff spent the first two hours of every morning pulling order reports and responding to the same questions they had answered the day before.

ERP integrations vary considerably by system and version. Before we scope anything, we audit what your ERP actually exposes: REST APIs, OData, BAPI, or database-level access. That assessment determines the integration architecture and the realistic cost. We do not promise an ERP integration without understanding what we are connecting to first.
For manufacturers with major retail or distribution customers, EDI compliance is non-negotiable. We build X12 EDI support directly into the platform or through a tested translation layer, depending on your volume. Barcode and RFID scanning work through web-based interfaces your warehouse team can use on any device without a proprietary handheld.

It depends on the ERP and what it exposes. Most modern systems (NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics) have REST APIs or OData endpoints we can connect to. Older SAP installations may require BAPI or RFC calls through middleware. We assess your specific ERP setup before scoping anything so we know exactly what the integration requires and what it costs to build.
What is EDI and do you handle it?
EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange, the standard format large retailers and distributors use to send purchase orders, advance ship notices, and invoices electronically. Most manufacturing companies with major retail or wholesale customers are required to be EDI-compliant. We build EDI integrations using X12 standards, either directly or through a translation layer, depending on the volume and partner requirements.
How long does a custom manufacturing platform take to build?
A focused platform (order tracking portal, vendor management, and ERP data sync) typically runs 12 to 18 weeks. Add production scheduling, quality control workflows, or multi-location inventory management and you are looking at 20 to 30 weeks. We scope and price in writing before any work starts.
